Hi
I'm looking to buy a PS4 9.00 on Facebook and I've seen this post about this PS4 9.00 God of war edition which I think I will get it at 230ish, as I'm new at the PlayStation 3-5 homebrew community is there anything to look for? anything else than the firmware version? ill meet him at his house and check the PS4 version there.
I have looked at eBay, but since I'm worried that I will not get the exact firmware versions I chose to a meet up better. !!!! SHOULD I GET IT!?? ANYTHING TO KNOW BEFORE? BUYING? !!!! time is critical.

firmware is all that matters with the ps4.
So 9.00 and auto updates to off? right? that's why I asked because I was a little bit confused I didn't know what he meant by "stick" a USB was my first thought. then I was thinking there is something like a Xkey for ps4 (which I know there isn't one).. since I'm new to this.

I'd say turn the internet off in network settings or use dns. both should accomplish the same thing, preventing updates. auto updates is broken with the ps4, so it will still download them. I'm not sure if it's broken with the ps5 as well, since I've always had it enabled anyway. you should be good with that.

So what exactly do I have to do when first plug it in at home, since he said it is on 9.00 and auto updates off, so don't connect to the internet, use dns (I will have to look that up) and anything else so I won't waste 200+$ down the drain by missing something that can auto update itself by mistake I don't want to take NO RISKS at all since I already got a ps4 pro with 9.03

there's not really much to know as far as basics go like blocking updates. I'd say consult @KiiWii 's thread in the ps4 section. it's stickied, so you can't miss it. I made some ps4 tutorials, but they don't cover something like that.

SO as your point of view is the ps4 easily as the switch to "mod"

it's easy to mod, but difficult to master if that makes sense. doing a lot of things requires the system. there's no real pc apps to do much of anything.

Make sure the firmware is 9.00 or below. You could check to make sure it is not banned.

I used this Youtube video from Modded Warfare when I jailbroke my PS4 Pro a few months ago. It is very good.

Oh okay will check that out, and how do i check to see if the console is banned or not? doesn't this requires internet?

That PS4 Pro looks quite nice. Not sure I'd say it's worth $230, but if you could get it to drop to $200 you'd be getting a great deal.

Also, is it silent? If not, you'll need to pay for thermal paste (yourself or a professional) because an exhausted Pro can be freaking loud! 😬

It is silent but ill replace the thermal paste in the future soon, as i did for my other ps4 pro.
So far i really enjoyed ftp pkgs really fast 3-5 min a 30 gb game.

you can never be too sure how hot the system is actually getting, since all three companies would prefer a quieter system rather than one that lasts a long time. I checked my temps without a fan app using orbis toolbox while in game, and the temperature in Celcius was about 75 degrees. this is with a phat, so I imagine pros run even hotter than that. seems like the fan doesn't really kick in until it's getting quite high via stock.
