ps4 12.02 + revert firmware

If I update the console to the latest version I'll be able to download the required demo for modding the console.
If after that, I revert the firmware, the demo wil still work?
EDIT: it's not possible. I've seen a yt video and after the firmware revert, the games don't show in the home menu.

Why not just wait for BDJB which is in the works for 12.02 rn?
