Hacking PS3KEY, Not working in PS3, Help

I have just gotten my PS3KEY, i have updated it to the latest FW 2.3. When i have competely powered down the PS3 via the switch at the back, plugged in the PS3KEY, turn the switch on the back on, turned on the ps3 and then pressed the eject button. The PS3KEY is red for 2 seconds then flashes between red and purple 3 or 4 times, and the stay purple. My PS3 informs me that an unknown USB device is attached. Why isnt the PS3KEY turning blue, any ideas??

My FAT JAP PS3 is also on 3.41FW

to make sure you hit the eject fast enough

just keep hitting eject right after the power button (like 5 or 6 times)
other wise you can try reflashing it

I remember their software wouldn't work on fat consoles.

They did recently fix it, but you might want to check that you downloaded the version fixed for fats.

Yeah i had to take out all other USB devices plugged into the ps3 to get it to work, strange!

That is normal. You have to plug your other usb devices in after the start up.
