PS3 SLIM/FAT Purchase

I just purchase 3 PS3 For $100, 2 SLIM, and 1 FAT.
Of the 2 SLIM, 1 is running Firmware version 3.61 and the other is running 4.21, should I update the firmware to version 4.88 or 4.89?

Yea, you should use minvercheck to tell if you can install cfw on those slims or just hen, it needs to be below fw 3.56. Give or take. If you don't care about cfw, you can just use HEN.
