PS1/2 PS3 GTA ADDON question...

So I just saw that the new addon came out on the PSN for GTA. But whats the addon for??
is for GTA 4 the old one or you have to buy the GTA Liberty city stories AND buy the addons to be able to play it?
if you only need the old one, is there any advantage of buying the GTA Liberty city over the addons?

It's just a new storyline with new weapons, items and cars.
I don't /think/ you need the original game. But that may only be the case if you buy the EoLC disc.

No this is a completely independant game/games from GTA4. You DO NOT need GTA4 to play them.
