If i were to buy the retail game of Burnout Paradise and download the free updates for it

My question is how do the updates work as they cant burn to the disc?

ok and i guess when you boot the disc, it detects the updates and runs them

Edit: when i update would i have to update each version 1 by 1 or can i go straight to the final, i am asking this due to my ADSL bandwith limits

Straight to the final update... Like with all games...

No, with Burnout you download a lot of patches. There are about 8 to download. I can't remember how big each one is, it's a while since I've been on the game.

Yes but you download them all in one package, not separately which is what I think he means.

That is what i was asking if i can go straight to the final, thanks for the info, and on the burnout wikia each update gets bigger then the last meaning that the final includes all of the existing updates also

You DL ALL of the updates. Even DLC you have not purchased. In the future if you decide to get a paid DLC. All you would need to get is a 100KB unlock file

Yes, it downloads them all in parts. Very, very irritating as it makes the download last a lot longer. As I said before, you download about 7 different parts, which consist of DLC and bug patches.
