Hardware Ps3 battery future and cfw

Known story.... Battery in ps3, 4 and 5 dying AND no psn = paperweight.
For ps3 physical less of an issue so they say.
But my ps3 is banned and has rebug 4.x on it... Will a dying battery make my digital (not very legal) game's fail in the future?

No, why would a modded PS3 need to connect to Sony servers to play games ever...
