So I've been hearing more and more about this Mars-Pro chip and it's superiority over Modbo (better protection, better media support etc) and I've got one successfully installed in a 9000x console. But I can't find any information on how to get it to run OPL or anything of that sort. Any help is really appreciated.

Install FreeMCBoot (it won't conflict with the modchip, unlike the Modbo chips), then you can load OPL.

Otherwise, good luck figuring out how to burn OPL on a DVD.

I thought the whole point of a modchip was so that you wouldn't have to mess around with soft mods. Besides, with modbo would you really need FMCB when the chip already loads all the apps you want?

USB loading was hacked in after they cloned a clone, afaik

Kinda like how SDHC support was hacked into R4 clones.
