Hacking PS2 Classics .config set up

Does anyone know how to get games working with config files on the PS4 using the PS2 Classics Emulator? For example I've packaged up Tony Hawk's Underground 2 correctly without configs and it crashes at the main opening screen. I've heard using a config would make it work.

I've got the config hex data from the PS3 Dev wiki but I don't know what to do with it or where to put it to make the game work. Can anyone help please?

iirc, you place the hex in a file named after the game in question + config as the extension. it needs to be named exactly the same as the iso. I don't know about ps4 classics though. you might want to head over to psx-place for more information. I'm pinky on that site.

I have packaged a few games, but not messed with config yet. Need to get into it as I want wide screen modes on my game

@godreborn any idea if you could ftp in to the installed ps2 game and edit/replace the config through that way?

I don't care too much about ps2 games on the ps3 or the ps4 (only tested a few of them on the ps3) since I have a working ps2. I actually replaced the laser about a year ago, and the first laser lasted about 11 years with the last four or five seeing minimal play which is possibly why it died. I do like to let it run every few days so that that doesn't happen again. I have dq 5 in the system atm since I can't play psx games due to my tv not being able to display 240p. I do plan to get a framemeister at some point for psx games and my retro consoles, but that thing costs like $400 since it's Japan only and was discontinued. I think those are the reasons for the high price. however, there are sellers with a lot of them yet still charge ridiculous amounts. though, I did pay over $500 for my dq metal slime ps4 which is hackable, so I'm not complainin'.
