PS1 half screen in retroarch?

For some reason, when I try to load a PS1 game in retroarch, it only shows on the left half of the screen, I don't mean only the left half shows, but the whole image is resized to the left half of the screen, very odd.

Anyone any idea why?

Not really knowing why but you should get DuckStation ported to Switch by the same dev responsible for the melonDS port, I have no trouble with his standalone NRO that you can get from the retroNX's Discord server in the #emulation channel.
PS: Don't forget to check settings and map the buttons (unlike I did...)
