This may be a few months late, but the PSP version plays really nice with the Vita's thumbsticks and has widescreen support. I see no reason to play the PS1 version over the PSP version.

because i prefer the ps1 version i hate the new VA and all that music is fine but i prefer the controls and nostalgia of the original
