The games are region free, I believe. However, the Blu-Ray movies are not.

You could always get the $249 one, without 3G. which is pointless on a hand-held.

I'm sure the GPS is useless without the 3G.

Sorry but I think it will work without the 3G because I had iPhone 3GS before without a contract and it works fine with TOMTOM without a 3G. It shown *NO SERVICE* even no WIFI and GPS works perfectly fine when driving for the direction.

Well, I dont understand why people compare a handheld to a console.

PSV is going to be a blast of a handheld. If you dont own the PS3 and you feel the need of a home console first, then go for the PS3 o.o.
But they are not comparable and dont fit in the same category!

they say that is very easy to ports games from ps3 to psv thats why some people are comparing the 2 of them ,as its very probable that every ps3 exclusive may be released for ps3 and psv

It's actually a little more than the advertised price once you factor in the memory card. If you plan on downloading any games for the thing you're out like $50 for 16GB, and if you simply want to save in some games it's $20 minimum for 4GB

I'll be waiting for price drop and a flashcart that lets me use a more versatile card
