Hi I recently got a PS Vita and had a few questions.

1. Do the Sd2Vita cards work for the Ps vita for memory card instead of actual ps Vita memory card?

2. I have modded a few things and want to mod my ps Vita is it possible?

3. Any accessories or knowledge I should know?

Thanks in advanced

1. yes, and you can use it as new storage or switch it so that SD2Vita mounts as "main" memory and Vita memory cards as "secondary".
2. What version is your vita on?
3. Never update no matter what FW are you on (only if guide tells you so).

So I can by Sd2Vita adapter for memory cuz I have a microsd 32gb. So $10 compared to $50 or whatever for ps vita one.

I believe 3.67 or something bought it for $60 it was a snag

It all depends on your FW. If you have 3.61 and higher, you are out of luck for at least a year...

No way to wipe it out or downgrade firmware? ( So any website for 3.61 or higher your sol?)

So no to sdvita adapter?

Man that's a true bummer, what a shame......

Can I post a link to a site I found or no????

Can anyone else confirm this before I give up?

Not saying u don't know.(thanks for the help)

Any site claiming a 3.61 or higher hack or jailbreak is fake.

Developer TheFlow is working on a 3.67 exploit, but it won't be released for ~another year based on what he's told us. You're shit out of luck until then.

Alright I'll read up on it. Thanks people appreciate it. Keep me updated if u can, id love to try it out. Well that ruined my day

Few more questions.

Best place to buy ps Vita?

Are the Japan imports on Amazon ok?

Does anyone know what firmware is on the Japan imports?

What to get out of Homebrew is it anything like the new 3ds Homebrew? Like freeshop, save editors, emulators?

Or should I just wait till my firmware gets old.

I would like to sell my Vita and buy new Vita with low fw and pay difference

Japanese imports - some are above 3.60 I believe. psdevwiki has a list, but it's incomplete.

Alright I'll check that. But curious is someone could answer all the questions in more detail

yes there is a program like freeshop, lots of homebrew, emulators, well worth getting a 3.60 or lower one and enjoying it as others have said could be a long wait till you can enjoy CFW on a later firmware

1) Any place that sells brand new, unopened Vita's is the best place to buy one. Stay away from any used Vita that doesn't explicitly state, with proof, that it has 3.60 on it.
2) As mentioned, Japan imports just depends. Originally, only two JP Slim colors released in 2016 had 3.61+ on them, but apparently that's no longer true.
3. Again, it depends.
4) You can get various emulators, native Vita games, ePSP mode with Adrenaline. There are save editors, but they're a lot more barebones than anything on the 3DS.

It should also be noted that you don't need to buy a whole new Vita to get 3.60, you can just buy a 3.60 motherboard for your model and swap it out if you're confident enough to do so. It's quite easy, and there are various tutorials around that show you how.
