Hacking PS Jailbreak

So I got some sort of dongle for the PS3 many months ago. It said it was up-gradable but my model was defective so they came out with 1.1 or something and I just gave up because I updated my firmware. So I have left the scene. Don't know anything about the jailbreak dongles any more. I was wondering what works today. I am on firmware 3.61. Is PS Jailbreak the way to go? I really don't care if I can update or not at this point. I never ever use my PS3's online.

any firmware PAST 3.55 cannot be jailbroken UNLESS the scene makes a CFW for 3.56 or above.
Best thing to do is just wait, something will change soon.....

1: Dongles are outdated, use CFW.


2: You're SOL because you have a fw higher than 3.55. Unless you have a Infectuous chip and are good at soldering and you're ps3 is a phat, NOT a slim.

So there is nothing I can do, with or without a dongle? It would have to be a hard mod?

you are correct. nothing doing with or without a dongle.
And hard mods are just that.
