Hacking Protruding chip on Acekard 2i?

I've been considering buying an Acekard 2i to upgrade from my Acekard 2.1. I was thinking of buying from dealextreme.com or 0shippingzone.com, but was hoping to obtain one without the protruding chip. Are all the ones produced these days lacking the protruding chip or are they still around?

I just bought one from a store in USA and it came with a little protruding point under the sticker. It's not the chip. It's a different thing. It's minimal.

BTW, wise decision. Go ahead. I also heard that DX isn't selling Acekards right now. An issue with PayPal. Don't know if the same happened with 0shippingzone.

Very minimal, you can't see it, and you can just barely make it out rubbing your thumb over it

I personally have never bought an acekard 2i from DX, but I have read that a lot of people have, and have been very happy with their puchase

I just got mine from DX and it's the same thing. I'm guessing it's flash from where they mold the case that they didn't properly trim off.

I bought my Ak2i from Real Hot Stuff, it arrived yesterday, no protuding chip or nothing.

It is working WONDERFULLY!
