some of the best photo's so far of the 3DS too. enjoy, and sorry if someone else already posted this.

wow.. and ? this is not the final version of the 3DS so they used the DSi power connector
what's so exciting about that ?

also, the power light looks to be represented by a love heart

and the 3D screen is totally flush with the plastic and the touch screen has a reinforced border.
I am liking how cool it looks when it is closed.

actually they confirmed it as the final design already.

Konno says "you can take this [E3 design] as the final shape." This means the design, which looks like a slightly modified standard DS (above), will be the one hitting stores.

Well, they still CAN make changes, should they find a flaw or something.

Good info.
I'm not a big fan of the design but I strongly suspected we'd get something very similar if not the same as what was shown.

it's an AC-Plug like on the DSi

QUOTE(petspaps @ Aug 15 2010, 04:46 PM) Yer it seems we're back to the extremely bulky design. Question is can the size be reduced and f so when?
it's actually almost the same exact size as the DS lite. I know this because they compared it on an IGN video to a DSi and it's a little bit thicker than a DSi but it is shorter in wideness than a DSi. So thats why you can compare it to a DSlite in size.
But i also notice that it looks huge because they designed it like 3 things on top of each other. hmm maybe it's a play on the 3D name lol

I like the design and don't think it's too bulky. And I don't really mind the fact that there using the DSi power cable, it means I've gotta backup cable.

I'm loving the chunkiness, it's much more comfortable to keep something chunky in your hands than something slim (IMO at least).

Though, if it uses the DSi power cable, wouldn't that mean the charging times would be long?

Finally someone who agrees with me on that.

I like that design; in fact, just looking at that picture makes me want it now.
A bit like my PSP 1000. I like the fact that it has some substance to it.

When I first saw the renders, I was very impressed. Then I saw real photos and I was a little disappointed. Ah well, says I, it doesn't really matter. Now I realize those were taken with cruddy camcorders in a loud crowded room. I've grown to like it now. Bulkey is good. Now I see real high red close ups, I'm impressed again.

I like the shape.

Looks a bit more like a ds phat.

Anyways I find it great that they are using the same cable. Since they keep changing cables for the ds. DS phat used the sp cable, lite had its own and the dsi has its own.

I know nothing bout the charging part though.
