いまはまさに『レイトン教授VS逆転裁判』の制作が佳境です。生活のすべてが、そこに集中しているというような感じですね。まだあまりお話しはできないのですが 、順調に進んでいますのでもう少しお待ちいただければと思います。

The development of "Prof.Layton vs Gyakuten Saiban" is the final stage.
My life concentrates on "Prof.Layton vs Gyakuten Saiban".
I can't talk about it now, but the development goes smoothly.
Please wait a little more.

We are developing this together with Level 5, but this game envelops all I do, so I can't just leave it to others like with the (Ace Attorney) movie

:D x2

Going smoothly = Going slowly as hell.
So do the Ace Attorney 5 and Gyakuten Kenji 2 localization....

Ace Attorney 5 isn't even released in Japan yet...

excellent stuff, assuming it makes its way here may have to be a day one buy for me

I'm sure the game will be fine.
But as far as localisation is concerned we are completely fucked given the current state Capcom is in, and their attitude towards the west as of right now.

Our hope for seeing this game hit the West depends on Professor Layton more than Ace Attorney right now.

@[member='RupeeClock']: Nah, it'll come over here. Layton is really popular in the UK/US and Ace Attorney has a decent fanbase. If Capcom doesn't localize it, Nintendo will (like they did with all the other Layton games).

I wouldn't underestimate Capcom's ability to pull a dick move and not allow it because they'd feel there's no profit to be had.

The localisation work for the Phoenix Wright side of things would have to be handled by the usual Capcom staff who handle the continuity, right?
And they've already skipped on Ace Attorney Investigations 2.

They sure are being quite about this game, last thing I heard about it was back in October.

if i recall level 5 had say in PLvPW so if capcom says no level 5 can say yes and it is technically a PL gam and as we all know PL is level 5's baby so it will most likely come over

Well, I'm not sure.
The probability of Crapcom doing a shitty move is very high, however, Level-5 has localised all the Layton games.
So we have a 50% vs 50% of probability.

Still, If it doesn't get localised, I'll try buy a Japanese 3DS and buy it (obviously not only because of it, but because of other japan-only games), as I'm a fan of both series.

Actually, no. Nintendo was responsible for western localization. Level-5 only published Layton in Japan.

I'd say chances are 25% - 50% of it being localized.

If it doesn't get localised, I will rage quit. But it probably will, since all of Ace Attorney (excluding Gyakuten Kenji) and Layton was released to America and Europe.
