Hardware Problems with audio mixer setup

A friend of mine is trying to set up this mixer with his Windows 10 machine so that he can use a microphone and headphones at the same time to host conferences over Skype, but neither of us know how to do that. Can someone please explain what cables go in what holes to make this work? Using the Zmx52, an Audio-Technica AT 2020 mic, and some kind of USB sound card through which the cables are routed. The mixer lights up when we speak near the mic but no sound is heard through any medium. Advice please. Ideally in small words because I am far from the technically literate sort.
