So my mum's friend just got a Nokia 6.1 and I was the one who set everything up for her. Here's the problem:
Apparently this is the Chinese region version, which is filled with weird AOSP-like stock apps and has no updates (it's on 7.1.1). I've replaced all the stock apps I could with GApps from the Play Store (except for Phone, which doesn't seem to have a port for this chipset, sadly). The only problem left is how do I update it to 8.1, which the international version has? Is it even possible? I saw some, but not all, people on XDA who could update to 8.1 with no problems, but like the rest, I get told that I'm on the latest firmware.
