Problems patch Super Mario Land 2 DX

I'm trying to patch SML2 with the DX version released yesterday. I'm patching a clean rom but when I try to run the patched version I get a debug screen. Anyone know what's happening?
Update: the most I know is that it's a ROM checksum fail

Verify the SHA-1 checksum of the original ROM. There are different versions floating around. It should be: bba408539ecbf8d322324956d859bc86e2a9977b

Okay... Where would I find that? Cart info?
Edit: I found where to check. Now I just need a rom with the right checksum. I've already tried 4
