My Wii is American and use a transformer to pass the voltage from 120v to 220v it.

Use an external hard drive on it in a port to load games and put the VGI 2 USB port.

The Wii launches well at full-hd, and start to play a normal game, my tv is full hd.

After 10 minutes of play the picture starts to go down, the screen goes all black for 4 seconds and turn the game past 10 / 2 is the same until it reaches a point that the screen is black and not back to the game.

I wonder what can I do to solve this problem.

Problems growing worse with over time when in use
and "healing" when not scream thermal to me.

But rule out other easier things first:
a) run it with a pal(230v50hz) psu instead of a 230v50hz-to-120v60hz converter and us psu
b) run it without the upscaler

Problem is real, i receive email suport

[Hello Ricardo,
For the latest stock of vd-w3, we have customers reported the cases
that the video will blind on or off after a certain time, after our
engineer check carefully every components and firmware, we found that
this is a firmware issue which cause the component temperature to rise
up. anyway, we have already found solution to fix it. and we will
arrange to send out a updated firmware unit to you shortly. please
realise that we need time to rework all the stocks and check them again
before we can send it to you.
For the arrangement, we will try to send out the replacement unit on
or before 6/Sep/2010, after you receive the unit, then you may send back
the fault unit (vd-w3 only) to us at the below address,

Attn: Chris Yeung
Rm 2105, Ping Yan House
Ping Tin Estate, Lam Tin
Hong Kong

Once we receive the fault unit, we will refund USD13 to your paypal
account to cover your shipping cost for send it back.
Finally, we apologise for any inconvenient causes for the problem, thanks]
