Hacking Problem with Sims 2 Apartment Pets

My wife and daughter both have newish DS Lites. My Daughter has an R4 bought about 12 moths ago (with the spring), my wife's R4 is about 9 months old (without the spring).

Both R4's are running firmware V.1.18 English, my wife can play Sims 2 Apartment Pets ok on her DS and her R4 works ok in my daughters DS Lite. However, my daughter's R4 won't run the game, it hangs with a black screen. The ONLY difference here is the actual R4 card, my daughter can play all her other DS games but not the Sims.

If both R4's are running the exact same soft / firmware then what could make one not work?

have you tried your wifes mem card in your daughters R4 this will eliminate a faulty mem card

it may just need formatting and the 1.18 kernel reloading

you could also try copy your wifes 1.18 kernel files to your daughters mem card something may of gotten corrupted or deleted

finally try your wifes save game on daughters mem card could be a corrupt save
