Ok then just copy arm9loaderhax.bin and boot.3dsx from this zip. https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases/download/v6.6/Luma3DSv6.6.7z Boom you have luma and no data lost

Also if your concerned about breaking your 3ds then you shouldn't be hacking it in the first place.
My cousin installed me the homebrew ike this:
Installing Ninjhax
Downgrading with Cubic Ninja
Installed MenuHax with Pasta CFW,FBI
I have homebrew launcher with boot3dsx and arm9loader from previous attempt to install Luma

That previous attempt doesn't matter anymore.
As I said copy the arm9loaderhax.bin and boot.3dsx to the sd card. https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases/download/v6.6/Luma3DSv6.6.7z Replace any files you already have. boot menuhax and a menu pops up. Check "Show NAND or user string in System Settings" then press start. This is the easiest thing you can do. Now you changed your cfw to luma and updated your menuhax setup without losing anything. If you can't do that then you should not be hacking your 3ds.

I've installed luma and tried to play Pokemon Moon, after the 3DS screen it goes black
You need to change lumas path
Use custom path: If the option is on, you can change the default location of the Luma3DS payload (which is arm9loaderhax.bin on the root of the SD/CTRNAND) by typing it in a path.txt file in luma, it must start with a / and not exceed 55 characters.
This path will be attempted on both SD and CTRNAND, and is also picked up if not booting via A9LH.

I did what you said in another problem solve
"Turn on use custom path in luma config
Make a .txt file named path.txt
Put it in the luma folder on your 3ds. edit it to say: /luma/boot.bin
Put the arm9loaderhax.bin in your luma folder and rename to boot.bin.
your done."
It says me payload error
