Hacking Problem with new Priiloader - Help needed

Hi everyone,

I installed the new 0.3b priiloader.

Now my Wii only boots to the priiloader screen, it says

Error autobooting system menu
could not get boot stats

I can goto homebrew channel fine.
I tried reinstalling it, and uninstalling it. Both dont do anything.

Anything i can do ??? I do have bootmii as an ios and a nand backup.

be very careful, dont rush fixing it, as u are in a position that could lead to brick

i would talk to Daco, but I suspect reinstalling your system menu IOS and system menu would remove priiloader and solve your problem... but still CHECK WITH DACO

priiloader is a good idea... i've never heard of your error, most people dont have problems with priiloader

maybe try a different rev (grab it from my signature if u want)

but like i said, this sounds very much like something Daco would want to know, u should him a msg in the priiloader thread

well, according to the source priiloader failed getting the stats of the main system menu or the size was read as 0

had any crashes during installation?


im sure a system menu reinstall and then reinstall of priiloader will work fine

How would i go about reinstalling the system menu ??

Is it ios70 and then install with Wad Manager ?

You need the system menu itself.
BUt if you want to reinstall ios70,do it before you install the menu,because you could end up with no menu

Where do i get the system menu from ?

get the files using nus downloader, then use wad manager to install them

or if u have wifi on your wii, u can use dop-ios mod

Nevermind. I see that i can get it from NUSDownloader as well.

Ok so i will just try installing the menu.

Ok it worked.

And priiloader worked this time.

I think what went wrong was when i first modded the system i installed an older version of priiloader, which didnt install. It gave me some error.

So for future reference, if you have gotten an error before, mabye do a system menu restore before installing a new version of priiloader.

yes that was your mistake. 0.1 had a bug in the installer that could crash it leaving a 0 byte system menu dol behind. that is why i added tyhe 0 byte check in future priiloader versions.
