Hacking Problem with mGBA 0.5.2

Whenever i try and save my pokemon firered game on retroarch mgba core it always comes up with this:

"Save error"
"Please exchange the backup memory"
Anyone know how to fix this?

I looked online and people said to change the save type to 128k but i cant find that on this.
