Please try two or three more Cables...the Web is full of such Probs as yours and in 70% it was the cable, maybe try another port....

Not only to stick it in with different cable, try the process as mentioned on xkit.xyz

how long will it take to update because it stops for me at 20% and I don't know if it's stuck or it has to be like that and if it will show the rcm loader via usb and if the LED switching will work

I managed to make it 100%, which I then have to do to make it visible via usb and switch the LEDs

From memory, in the past, the PC should pick it up straight away after firmware update (unplug and plug back in), when I first got my RCM loader, I accidently deleted the folders and the firmware update would bring them all back and I was good to go.

Now, since you've accidently formatted it to exFAT, I dare say, by doing this, it most likely deleted the bootloader and special/hidden partitions???
If firmware update was successful and your PC still can't see it, then it sounds like the firmware update doesn't do any formatting/partitions of some sort. This is just pure speculation on my part.
