Homebrew Problem with a rom

My friend is having some problems with a Phantom Hourglass rom. She'll save, and when she restarts the emulator, the file will be there, but it still starts from the beginning. Anybody know what the problem is?

Emulator, version? She probably hasn't set the correct save size/type.

So, my emulator is the No$GBA. The game is the 1456 Legend of Zelda The Phantom Hourglass. If there is anyway of fixing the save, let me know.
