Try to check if your card is ok using H2testw.

Your SD card adapter probably is to blame, if the microSD isn't bad according to H2testw (see link NFates posted).

Yes, and cluster size of 32kb.

Backup your stuff on the card on your desktop and then wipe the card, do a Hwtest

I give up i reformatted the card and moved everything again and still black screen. it has to be the card which i guess is good news then maybe my 2ds actually isn't broken after all.

I started to but it said it was going to take 40 minutes and I just want to play my ds already.

If the problem isn't the adapter then don't know what to suggest, since your old card works fine and you are on Sysnand.

Yeah I'm not sure I tried a different adapter too. Sorry for wasting everybody's time :s

Something must have happened to the card, but I think this is good news because i stopped using my 2ds for the same reason one day it just started booting up to a black screen, I thought it was my ds that was toast but it looks like something is just wrong with this card.

Yeah unfortunately I actually really preferred the way the 2ds fits in my hands as opposed to my o3ds, love them both though.
