Hacking Problem patching GHWT

Eh, that's weird. What'd you use to patch and what burner? It's weird how the charts are choppy, playable i guess, but choppy none the less

I am pretty sure it was disclosed that Rock Band equipment wouldn't work with GH on the wii, and vice versa. It will for the 360 and maybe the ps3. I'll confirm if it works with the "frontman" Nyko controller. Thanks Maschell for the tip. Sat here for like an hour and it didnt even dawn on me.

edit: you'd think I' m a n00b or something.
harmonix confirmed that rock band 2 will work with the gh3 controller but didn't mention anything on the world tour instruments.

Im also havin patchin probs. I tried the GUI which we all know doesnt work, then i tried the partitionextract but i didnt have the common-key, and then i tried to get the key but xyzzy crashes on me at Hopes..../ The Line ALWAYS freezes. Ideas?

I am also having issue patching GHWT. I've tried all methods listed above with no avail.

EDIT: I am fairly certain this has nothing to do with the common key. Any help would be appreciated.

I've tried using waninkoko's backup-creator common-key the whole thing an I have had no luck whatsoever. It is driving me batty!

Any help on this matter would be great for all of us! Thanks!

Ok.. so after tearing my hair out. I believe I got it!!!

Redownload extractpartition (search for it here on the boards), extract to a new folder, drag wans common-key into the same folder. Close the folder. Reopen the folder. Ok, now go ahead and open extract partition. Make sure there is not an iso in the folder yet. Ok, so you get this error now.. that you need the msvcr71.dll. Find it and download it and put that in the folder. Now, drag the ghwt iso to the folder. left click and select extract partition (you may need to open as and browse) I couldn't believe my eyes but the damned thing recognized it as guitar hero world tour and is patching as we speak. I will post when it's done to let you know it worked.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I believe I got it now. I did it a different way... I found the msvcr71.dll file it said it was missing, redownloaded and reextracted epartition and dragged wans common-key to the same folder.. it seems to be working.. not for sure yet. again thanks a million for your time

I got mine working perfectly using Wiigator extractpartition.

If you guys are having problems with Choppy videos/ backround(and fretboard) make sure you're not connected to WiFi

So turning off wifi on wii will let it run smoother?

Have you or anyone tried.. the ghtunes store..? lol just curious. That may be the only reason I end up buying this on sunday because I needs my dlc

Nope......sigh, this is rediculously frustrating.........what the **** am i doing wrong.....

edit: Will one of you upload your epartition folder for DL? i cant seem to do this right.....

I followed what you said netsliderx and when it comes to decrypting the iso it runs, but the percentage doesn't move. When its finishes though I get a new iso. When I try to patch it I get an error could not retrieve iso info. What am I doing wrong?

Ok need some clues guys.
Downloaded Extract Partition, put key.bin in the folder (same one i use for trucha, is this right?). The iso loads ok, extracted the partitions and now have 2 iso's.
BUT Neither will load into Trucha or WiiScrubber tho.
I downloaded msvcr71.dll AFTER i starting extracting, i figured as E.P. had recognised the original iso and was extracting fine then i didnt need anything else.
Any suggestions??

Status report: It all works beautifully! Slow loading and Nintendo WFC does NOT work (so I will be buying this on sunday..) but you can play the full game, create a rocker, play a band game if you at least have a microphone from rockband or equivalent.

Thanks for all of your help.

Good luck to those that have been having issues

Oh, on extractpartition, all it does is count down till it's done. The percentage never moved for me. In the end, I had a converted iso in the same folder, burned with imgburn (actually burned at max) and it works.

You may need the cios fix cause I have it and these are the results I've gotten. Not 100% sure if that's necessary though
