Hello,
I have a problem with a switch i searched to fix.
It take charge just with one side of the official charger and didnt power on.
I found shorts around the M92T36.
So i changed the USB-C port and the M92 but i have the same conclusion: no power and just charge on one side…
So i tested the switch with a 5V official charger and it charges at 0A (no intensity on this side) on one side and approximatively 0,5A on the other side.
I suppose i have a problem with the M92 (bad installation or defective IC)
Could someone confirm or refute my theory please?
Thanks a lot!

Could be a broken m92/bad installation or maybe a problem on the cc-line or a broken port (no connection on one side of the cc line.

Hello,
Thanks for your answer. When i will have a more time i will work on the M92 first by reflowing the solder and if it didnt change anything i will work on the USB port.
I will give news later.
Have a good day!

Hello everybody,
I found a little time to work on the switch.
So i try to change the M92 IC but no luck.
The switch just charge on on one side in 15V and with 5V i have 0A at one side and a intensity on the other side of the USB.
So i try to remove the M92 IC and plug a battery to see if the switch would be able to start without the IC and display an error message but i dont have any reaction of the switch.
So this switch drives me crazy.
The P13,Max ad BQ IC seems to not have any short.
Any idea where to eventually search to solve my problem please?

@BakerMan, Any idea what happened? I hope that your brother's doing good.

Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.

He couldn't eat until after his MRI, when he had a bomb pop.

What matters now is that he's doing alright.
