Hacking Priiloader 0.6 beta 3

0.6 changes the hacks.ini to use hashes instead of offsets, so a new hacks.ini is required, but should (in theory) prevent a new hacks.ini being required for new System Menu updates. But the new hacks.ini is available at the WiiBrew wiki, and has been there for a while, so I knew this feature was coming

But 0.4 and 0.5 should apply the hacks.ini the same way, and i don't know, perhaps 0.6 is backwards compatible with the old style as well.

Any chance you could provide a link to the new-style of hacks.ini please and thank you?

Thx... but I thought the whole point behind the hacks_hash.ini was that one file would work for all system menu's.... if that's the case, why are there different hacks_hash.ini files for 3.x, 4.0, 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3????

edit: is the only difference a different list of hacks? But it seems each hack_hash has a max and min setting for the max and min system menu version the hacks can be applied to... so shouldn't it be easy to create a master hacks_hash.ini file for all system menu's instead of having different files for each SM version?

Wow... Preloader... I mean Priiloader sure has come along way since we first started messing with it... still playing with the hacks.ini file I see as well...

Maybe I will have to get back into the thick of things and play around again myself... although I did brick my Wii once messing with the health.ash file...

If you want the hacks... use priiloader. Don't use startpatch at all unless you have bootmii as boot2... otherwise a mistake in startpatch = dead wii.

Also notes that some hacks simply wont work cross-region/SM version. But many do. This is why there are multiple versions of the same hack in the hack.ini, or multiple hack.ini files in some cases.

If the author of priiloader passes by here then please note there is a bug in this 0.6 beta 3 such that if you have too many apps in /apps/* then priiloader will crash when you try and load an installed file. Reduce the number in /apps/* and priiloader works again. I cbf trying to work out the exact number but it is about 5 or more.

and personally i have 33 folders in apps; which all load up fine ( and to add the 14 dols in root thats 47 items that load fine).

im guessing you have a folder in apps that is causing the crash (corrupted meta.xml ? some text it doesn't support ?)
