hahaha... thanks for the laugh. Installing a new system menu gets rid of preloader... then how would bootmii get auto-booted?

When to Wiibrew.org and it states that DacoTaco is the author of preloader .30 ? Where can we get his version? I know phpgeek used daco's edits to crediar's source combined with his own edits and insatller.


Well basically what I'm saying are there 2 versions of Preloader .30 floating around or just one? hehe

im pretty sure there is only one.

phpgeeks made the installer/uninstaller and Daco added the extra options.

i tried installing the latest version of this on a freshly hacked 4.2 wii and it would not install.It would say failed to read root or failed everytime.

I then installed .29 and then installed .30 and it worked just fine.

How come when I got to a game and press home then go to Wii Menu, it doesnt return to the wii menu!
it just goes back to the health screen. in preloader .29 it went to the wii menu not the health screen.

Am i doing something wrong or something? i did:

autoboot:system menu
return to: system menu

Found some little bugs.
-The installer remove only preloader and replace the system menu, but hacks and installed file are not removed.
-With rev3, every time that you return to wii menu from games, homebrew etc. , display always the health screen and you have to repress A. With rev2 this problem doesn't appear(health screen only at start as usually, then normal back menu).

Add back in the functionality for loading a file to autoboot from the usb drive and not JUST the sd card. Many people are running all there homebrew from a usb drive and not an sd card at all. Why would this function be removed and simply not supported anymore.

Are any known issues with installing preloader v.30 with 4.1U. I installed this update over top of preloader v.29 with 4.1U, IOS249 rev14, cIOS Corp etc. and it totally broke my wii. I had to downgrade and start all over to get it back to working. I could get new preloader screen but install/file to autoboot not working.

dude...it autoboots from nand, not from sd or usb. it installs a dol from the root of your sd, but then you can delete that, and if that app is usb compatible, you can autoboot it with no sd even in, and it'll run like it is supposed to.

From what i understand, DacoTaco's Preloader mod functions is already implented in phpgeek's.
