Hacking preloader v0.29 help? thanks

hey

i have a wii with system menu 4.2e.

i installed preloader v0.29 today, but when i try to start the system menu, it comes up with a black screen (i think i have the right hacks.ini file).

when i try booting HBC it says 'Error autobooting HBC. Maybe title not installed?'.

It says at the bottom of the main screen: IOS v70, System Meny v482, preloader v0.29.

Could anyone please help me load up the HBC or system menu, or to recover my NAND?

You are using an outdated version of preloader. Preloader has now become priiloader.

Download Priiloaoder beta HERE

Then make sure once you have it running to go to settings and enable "Show beta updates"

Then update via priiloader again and you will have the latest version which is compatible with HBC 1.07/1.08.

Can you load titles with preloader? if so load the title for priiloader and install that

I think preloader doesn't have a bootmii booter...

Hmm switch to IOS60 for the system menu in the preloader settings. That should fix it. if that doesn't work switch to IOS249. IOS249 won't work well with the System menu but it will work.

If not you are going to have to install a forewarder dol in preloader, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it...

And how is he supposed to access bootmii? I doubt he has it as boot2.

yeah my bootmii is installed as an IOS :/ but thanks I'll try those settings

and if it doesn't work could I install priiloader as a .dol? Sorry for all the questions

Hmm might be that your IOS60 is a stub. IOS249 should work, though... But if it doesn't it doesn't

I doubt installing priiloader dol in preloder would work. Preloader is piky with what programs work installed.

Try installing loadmii in preloader. http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Loadmii That should work.

You need to installl 249 and 60 and then when you turn on your Wii, hold down power AND reset after holding down just power for a few seconds.

Hmm well... does somebod have a HBC forewarder dol for preloader? That's the last thing I can think of...

Yeah install it in preloader and it will kick ou to the HBC. there are forewarder dols for older versions of HBC, saly I don't know about one for the current one.

Ah I remembered another possibility. Try installing dop-mii as the preloader dol. doubt it will work, but it's work a shot. If it works, install IOS60 with es_identify patch ith it.

And well you could try installing the priiloader installer. Pretty sure it won't work, but worth a try.

Use the Bootmii_Booter.dol. The homebrew channel forewarder dol in there is outdated.
