Iiiiiiiiishit..!!! I was trying to install a SysMenu to get rid of it when an error appears at the screen in the middle of the installation, so the Wii restart itself and the preloader config screen appears saying that SysMenu couldn't be loaded, so I take the SD out and change the SysMenu.wad for another one that I had, and told preloader to boot into HBC, then use the wad manager again to install this other SysMenu.wad that I have, and the installation went terrific, so, yeah that preloader is a great app, but it messes to much with the SysMenu, so the uninstalling process is really dangerous, so think twice before install this...!!!

So the way to remove preloader out of the NAND is to install systemmenu.wad again ?

Anyone managed to boot any dols from this, auto or not? All I've tried (cIOS downgrader, wad manager, ftpii, anytitledeleter and more) segfault or just blackscreen. Booting to system menu or HBC works like a charm though. Word to be added though is that I've dip-patched all IOS:es on my Wii.
I tried GeckoOS and Softchip r77, they both worked. Auto or not. Title Lister code dumped on me.

When i re-installed the sysmenu.wad file it seemed to remove the preloader totally - i couldnt load into it again so i had to re-install it again afterwards.
Its a great bit of software in my opinion.

Just so everyone knows:

I just AnyRegion Changed my sysmenu back to what it was before and it got rid of preloader. (Only did this so i could get Gamma working again.) annnnnnnnnnd..... yay it worked.

SO:

IF you want Gamma working correctly again, you can use AnyRegion Changer to go back to your system menu's original state.

NOTE: when and if you do this you will have to reinstall the CIOS with gamma.

It seems the nicest thing with this we can safely hack the system menu with the option of bricking it... I want to add Turkish support to the system menu

Or changing colors, an dark Wii Menu would be nice, specialy if you are using an normal TV, which most shows White with some yellow, which looks uglys.

It appears that when you update for example it keeps the old system somewhere, so i'm guessing if you update and reinstall a new system and then dump your nand, somewhere in that you will find the old one (preloaderd one)

This is what crediar said in Wiidev.

crediar, if you install this and then update, will the copy of the old sysmenu still be there?
?
it makes a copy of sysmenu, and puts something else in sysmenus place
Yossi yes
so if you update, ninendo would just put the new sysmenu overwriteing preloader, but the copy of the o;d menu would still be around

Edit: Also it seems noted that ithere are still isssues with autobooting dols etc, so there will be an update at some point. Preloader can do this on its own apparently

it downloads the update, checksums it and replaces the file on the NAND. Nice huh

Might be an idea to try to give the specifics of what you did so as people dont go removing the wrong thing - any title deleter is a very dangerous bit of software and a lot dont understand it.

Can you put RedSquirrel's Menu Rebooter v1.0 into hacks.ini
Menu Rebooter works perfect in 3.4 but i want the disc channel to always work.

Aww he beat me to it. This is exactly what Dashboard does, with some small variances. Mine also boots quicker as its done a tad differently. Kudos on the work Crediar.

Eh, maybe...there's no sense really in having two applications that perform the same thing, it usually just confuses people. Although mine is quicker and employs different functionality (optional patches can be put in Dashboard.ini, for testing purposes. If you like the patches, you can move them permanently into NAND using the menu.) that and it has dol/elf loading over TCP too.

So i dunno.

EDIT: come to think of it mine runs all applications fine (i noticed some people having trouble with gamma loader and preloader). that's another difference.

Fors - You gotta release it man - they do different things - different benefits to the community

Hook us up when it's ready buddy.

I'm sure I speak for everyone in saying we all would like to see this much anticipated release.

These things are just keeping us going until you release CSM.
