Hacking Preloader 0.29!

hey can preloader load a diff system menu at all? say you have 4 installed with preloader can u get it to load into 3.2? or is loading multiple system menus not an option yet?

i don't know if anybody found out of this, but i noticed my cios60 doesn't work for me as it keep saying system files are damaged... booting with preloader from another ios makes the system menu run, but at that point i lose the ability to read from sdhc cards in the system menu... so you need ios 60 to read them.

but isn't it possible to set preloader up so it boots the system menu with ios 249 so booting backups from disc channel is possible, but keep the sdhc compability from ios 60 loaded?

and if not, would it be possible to import the sdhc ability from ios 60 into the cioscorps ios's?

Hmm, it seems you messed with Ios 60 after installing preloader hence removing the preloader's ios 60 patch. That's the reason I guess...

Installing 4.0 menu again may brick you because of that unpatched ios since there will still be leftover files in the system menu content directories...

dont know if you are hard mod but im softmodded & this what i did
10 instal preloader 29
11 instal 249 rev9 make sure you have IOS36-64-v1042.wad in root of sd card & wad installation
12 instal cioscorp 60 bf when it reboots system corrupt restart load preloader go to hbc
13 install ciosorp v1 (all wads from softmii pack )when it reboots system corrupt restart load preloader go to hbc
13 reinstall preloader
14 install cmios
& thats how i did it result disc loading for backup wii/gc games your wiis region loading of vc wiiware games of sd card

and you can run region free from disc channel??? i am hard modded and i cant run NTSC games via Disc Channel on my PAL console

i am assuming u can run PAL via disc channel on your NTSC console??

i already had the cmios installed before the update has this been removed with the update?

i had cios36_rev9 & HBC installed. then i updated the wii to 4.0 thru Nintendo. then i did the ios60 patcher. now when i try to install preloader (first time ever, i had Starfall earlier) (press 1 at warning screen) it comes up with an error saying "ios36 fakesign bug fixed". whats up with that? any tips?

this is what i did when i had this problem in softmodded ntsc u
i disagree im running unoffical games through sd
this is how i set up my wii
1 cios downgrader + ios downgrader to 3.2
2 cmios install original mios from network
3 make sure your disc channel is working try & pop in an older game i use zelda it might ask you to update(thats why i use zelda it instals ios 9 back to original state ) make sure its Your region & update the disc channel
4 use any title deleter & delete ios 249
5 this is just a safety precaution install either starfal or preloader
6 install 249 rev 8 make sure you have IOS36-64-v1042.wad in root of sd card & wad installation
7 install patched ios 60 no to ios61 shop channel yes to ios60 yes to patch when it finishes its gonna ask you again to install ios61 again press no(b button) press any key to restart
8 if you installed preloader or starfall remove hacks for preloader & starfall run & remove hacks
9 instal wanins updater
10 instal preloader 29
11 instal 249 rev9 make sure you have IOS36-64-v1042.wad in root of sd card & wad installation
12 instal cioscorp 60 bf when it reboots system corrupt restart load preloader go to hbc

for fake sign error i formatted wii after step 4 & re hacked it

Does anybody know what happens to original games if I load them through disc channel with Reload IOS and System menu -> 249 activated ? Do they load at 3x speed?

what if you install all the cios wads from version 2 or at least a combi of those two as version two had some problems... and then reinstall preloader... would that work too with the system files corrupt message?

i said v1 because through expierience its worked for me with all the new titles & old & didnt really wantt to go through oh this game gives me this or that as for preloader first i bricked my other wii trying to get it to work so i waited for some brick protection & now i have all my features from 3.2u on 4.0u minus region free someone please make updated hacks ini for ntsc

Here's a question, I'm planning to help out a friend upgrading to 4.0 and I'd like to put Preloader on (he uses basic homebrew at the moment).

When Nintendo releases a 4.1, assuming its just a standard update and does nothing specifically to block homebrew, what happens to preloader? Does it just get overwritten, or can it potentially cause problems?

What happened to those that had preloader on 3.4 and then upgraded through Nintendo?

I'm using System Menu 4.0 USA Wii - Preloader .29

The install went fine. But just loads SD menu (Homebrew Menu) only can't get back to Channel Menu... Just skips the Channel Menu, & can't figure out how to get to the settings of preloader....

Is there a way to get into the preloader settings from boot? (Hold Reset) - Thanks morph80

If I want to remove Preloader 29 how do I on System Menu 4.0
What do I need to do to fix this? System Menu v289.wad? If I need this I can't seem to find it, only the iso version that don't load on my wii.

I installed the last cIOS36 rev9 where is the problem?

Run IOS Downgrader then try installing. After that you reinstall cIOS36 rev 9

I have read you had had the same problem. did you fix it this way?

no firmware changes!!!you have to use IOSdowngrader not cIOS!!!
