Only way I can think of is FTPii and delete the 1000004x.app in titles/00000001/00000002 (I think that's the right directory). Seek confirmation, I would just not fuck with it. it's only like 3 MB

I have the 00000042.app on my Wii without preloader, I think that would brick your Wii...

I guess not many people have had the need to completely uninstall preloader and the renamed system menu.

Now that everyone and their grandma has it installed, how can it be removed?

What are the system menu files renamed to? Any ideas how to delete it safely?

It's one file... and it's renamed 10000043.app (on my ntsc wii) after Preloader installs. Preloader just changes the first char to a 1.

one thing i was just thinking about..
so preloader renames the system menu and takes its place. If you want to delete preloader, you just reinstall the system menu. This will overwrite preloader. Makes sense, ok.
But what about the renamed system menu file? Is it still there then, like are there 2 copies of system menu then?
I want to know too. Because after installing preloader and then reinstalling the system menu I have atleast 1500 less blocks

Can anyone confirm ~1500 less blocks after reinstalling SystemMenu-v289.wad?

How is it possible to completely uninstall preloader and the renamed system menu?
Confirmed.

Does anyone know how to get the space back?

The Wii starts with about 1000+~1500 blocks, if you have anymore before installing a System Menu WAD, I do not know what magic Wii you have.

I think you might be looking at your SD Card's block space before installation, then you looked at your Wii's block space after installation

Oh yeah, I thought I had 2500 blocks before but now I just remembered that I only had 1500 blocks before. And I now have less because of all the game saves and channels.

Is it possible that preloader makes other applications crash?
For no apparent reason, Snes9xGX sometimes crashes with a codedump when I try to start it. It immediately crashes after launching it from HBC. But it has been working pefectly for a long time. The only change to my system (3.2) is that I installed preloader a short while ago.

You have any gamecube peripherals connected?

It 's most likely be SD corruption.

I don't think it could possibly be preloader, and if it was it would be hacks.ini related.

Yes, but it's not a that 0% loading error. Instead it displays a black screen with an enormous error message, with all kinds of values

I thought of corruption too. So I backupped everything, formatted & checked the card. Still the same error.
I also don't see how preloader could actually be causing this, but since snes9x has been running just fine for so long, it was the only thing I could think of.

Yeah i see what you mean.

Try launching it with another loader (like loadmii).

Also try disabling all the hacks.ini codes in preloader.

Also try redownloading snes9xgx (could be corrupted on your pc, or during transfer), make sure that it is set up right.

It could be HBC playing up... I've had troubles with it occasionally.

why does my wii restart when i press the power button to turn off the system while playing a gcn game? is there a way i can fix this? thanks

Are there hacks available for systemmenu v257? I've seen hacks for v290 and v289, but nothing for v257...any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure this is supposed to happen. I never tried before preloader, but would rather this than turning the wii completely off then back on to get to sysmenu.

I've seen a few, but it's just easier to upgrade to 3.2.

i have a problem,
when I try and boot HBC directly from preloader menu a HBC glitched screen appears and the system freezes
