No, I was saying that the older build has the same issue you were experiencing. Use the latest builds always.

Gotcha, no worries thanks for the clarification. (:

Do you know what files/folders its related to that cause it to crash?

i.e

sd/wiiu/apps/PPSSPP.rpx
or sd/PPSSPP
or sd/assets

You should have it set up with the rpx in its own folder

sd/wiiu/apps/name it whatever you want/PPSSPP.rpx

Not the way you have it which is
sd/wiiu/apps/PPSSPP.rpx

Not having it in its own folder is why people are having issues

Have the same problem with the RPX in a seperate folder.

Essentially, yes, an RPX app needs to have its own folder, I set up one called the same name as the app, SD:/wiiu/apps/PPSSPP/PPSSPP.rpx

Was having the crash error everytime I opened the emulator, I'll test now by creating a new folder.

You guys have to remember that ALL Wii U homebrew should be inside a folder that matches the name of the RPX.
For example:
SD:/wiiu/apps/ppsspp/ppsspp.rpx

The same applies to any other homebrew app.
SD:/wiiu/apps/libretro_mgba/libretro_mgba.rpx
SD:/wiiu/apps/libretro_snes9x/libretro_snes9x.rpx
Etc...

You can also add a custom meta.xml and icon.png files so that PPSSPP shows up nice and pretty in the Homebrew list.
I encourage someone to make some mockups for those :P

that isn't true, you can run any loose rpx just fine, you don't need an extra folder unless you want to add an xml and/or an icon.
just copy the content of the archive to your sd and you are set.

settings are stored in *.ini files in sd:/ppsspp/PSP/SYSTEM/ , so just delete them if you want to reset everything.

I have seen the same screen ecery time after ppsspp was crashing. For me deleting the ppsspp folder thats is created fixes the issue
(The Folder is created in the root of the SD-card)

don't delete the whole ppsspp folder, it contains assets required for the app to run correctly...
you extracted it from PPSSPP.7z afterall.

It's created on first start, the only folders in the ZIP are "assets" and "wiiu".

Fixes it for me too (deleting SD://ppsspp), but all savegames are stored there :/

oh my mistake, it should have been ppsspp/assets, that's probably the reason for those crashes then xD

this one has the correct folder structure : PPSSPP.7z, just extract it to the root of your SD card.
it also has some small improvements over the previous one.
