ROM Hack Powersaves Help

I'm trying to use Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice(NA version, which was just added today) with powersaves, but when I put the game in the device it works normally for a few moments and then says No Hardware Found, yet it works perfactly fine with every other game I've tried. I have tried using a different USB cable, but it didn't help.

Anyone have any ideas?
