Potential way to backup Switch 2 save data to PC?

I can't try this since I don't have a Switch 2, but with Switch 1, you can copy or transfer (for games that don't allow copying like PKMN) save data from a Switch 1 to another Switch 1. If the same could by done for Switch 1 and/or Switch 2 save data from a Switch 2 to a modded Switch 1, would could have a way.

1- Have you tried to see if it's doable or are you assuming?
2- Why would they banned your Switch 2 for using a built-in fonction?

I don't know what's your point. This is not a new to thing. Yes, you can transfer a save from a legit console to a modded console and edit it there, that's always been there, with or without Switch 2.

What exactly is hard to understand? Nintendo's anti-consumer practices locks save data backup behind a paywall. The goal is to see if you could use you modded Switch 1 as a gateway to backup your Switch 2 data to your PC.

I actually don’t know if this is possible. I don’t think you can transfer a save of a Switch 2 game to an Switch 1. You might be able to do a system transfer … maybe … but again, I don’t know if you can go in reverse. I’ll try to remember to try it later today.

Well I called Nintendo this morning, they confirmed that you can't copy save data between a Switch 1 and Switch 2 besides the full system transfer. Guess going straight to the source is sometime the best choice.

EDIT: Laugh all you want Hayato213, but Nintendo was more useful than people on this forum for this topic.

Last I checked (yesterday) you can select which game saves you want to transfer from one console to another. System transfer is not the only option. The only thing is, the save from the source console is deleted after its transferred to the target console. So your switch 2 will lose that save when you transfer to your modded switch. You can just do save dance, where you transfer save to modded switch, back it up on PC, and then transfer it back to your Switch 2.

I don't see how that will get you banned since literally using a modded switch as a gateway to transfer saves from Yuzu to the Switch 2 worked for me.

I was thinking of copying my MK8D save on the NS2 and copy it to my NS1, but I guess it's not that easy due to being recognized as different accounts or whatever.
