Ok this is going to sound weird I don't usually, launch Wii Games through PL4, so I went to try it out today and I can't for the life of me get the games to show up, DML games show up, but for wii games it keeps saying rebuild cache, so I do and it still doesn't find them. PL is on SD, games are on USB2:/wbfs/primary/NTFS. Is there something to configure that I'm oblivious too? I also launched through priibotergui and same thing happened

i recreated cache and launched using WiiFlow, NP. Games on ntfs partition
R u sure you're on latest 4.4.10?

I don't think postloader reads cheats. I'm using CFG USB Loader. They work using that, but not with postloader. I think its a bug.
Actually pl can't enable cheats for wii games. I will check if cfg allow them to be passed as args ;)

So i was having some trouble getting MarioKartGP1 and 2 to use quadforce with the dm/qf auto detect. It kept telling that both the games needed Diosmios installed to run.
Turns out that the internal gameids were wrong (MKAGP1, MKAGP2) and had to be switched to GGPE01 and GGPE02 in order for postLoader to recognize them as QF games.
I used the WiiBackupImage Editor tool found here to correct them, and now all is good=)
thanks to CheatFreak for posting (at a site i cant mention here=P) how to change the headers.

stfour I'm definitely using the latest, 4.4.10, which the version for some reason says 4.4.9 on screen though. Something weird is definitely going on, Wii games won't show up, I'll have to submit a ploader.log when I get a chance, but WiiFlow and other USB-Loaders are seeing and launching the games.

Finally got around to using postloader (mainly because I got tired of Adballah telling me to :) )...and it works like a charm. One thing though...I press UP to get Wii games and UP again to get GC. DOWN to get plugins. I have no intention of using any plugins...is there a way I can make DOWN give me GC instead?

no worries dude. Another easy question - has anyone made a *nice* forwarder channel? The default is a bit...ordinary?! I would make one myself back in the days...but don't have the time anymore.

There sure is, Abz made a nice forwarder channel for it, you can find it here. Pics included, before I just used to add my own custom music to the channel and that was enough, even Abz current forwarder I changed the music track to something more fitting to my tastes :)

Thanks stfour whenever you have time, no urgency just curious. I know u always come through regardless of the hurdles, your one persistent man in the face of obstacles lol. Respect bro, I'm off to bed g'night.

Here is another one made by me last year. It's updated to v5.1.5.
The theme is a redyed mod of the homebrew channel. See below.

Download here: http://goo.gl/FwPgk

After a few month of abstinence I did an update of my setup, and I have to say, there are a lot of great improvements. I like especially the automatic wad switching with QM/DM(L). :)

But I'm missing a fifth option for the auto-install of the mios, just for the sake of completeness. ;-)
There should be the possibility to install the origanal mios by nintendo or custom mios by waninkoko/Wiigator to run GC discs. Some GC games aren't compatible with DM(L). For example "Smugglers Run Warzones" will freeze after a short time of playing, even though with the original disc. So the mios/cmios could be auto-installed by clicking the "Run Disc" shortcut.

Your problem is weird, as it simple doesn't mount your second partition. I will give you a special version that will dump the partition tables to sd so I can check ;)

But I'm missing a fifth option for the auto-install of the mios, just for the sake of completeness. ;-)

This is a nice idea, I will add a menu to manually install mios/custom mios/qf4/qf41/dm/dml.

Yes, it could be easily done, but I think after few run you will find the actual way comfortable.

MassiveRican, please run this version

https://code.google.com/p/postloader/downloads/detail?name=pl4411_test.zip&can=2&q=

then send to me the mbr.dat and the part#.dat files it will create on sd ;)
Yea.. umm.. so sorry had a major case of derp on my side.. using your debug .dol I realized my NTFS partition wasn't primary, I forgot I had recently changed HDD's and I could have sworn I cloned my original drive, I must have just copied everything over. So yea after making the NTFS partition primary as well PL4 saw all the games no problem. So hurrah!

Thanks so much, did you still need the mbr.dat and part0/1.dat files. I think it would be good if PL4 could mount the drive whether it's Primay or Logical like other USB loaders, maybe my files might help you figure that out. Let me know ;) Now to adjust the covers path and I'm good to go, love me some PL4

EDIT: Uploaded files anyway for you to review at your leisure bud, take care.

Postloader for me will not show any emunand games. I have my emunand in nands/pln2o path as needed and verified this is where postloader is looking. Does it take forever maybe to write a log and actually popluate titles if nand is rather large?
