This doesn't use a flag (and I did some other tweaks to try to reduce the stack usage), but it appears to be that simple to add. However, on the subject of feature requests, how about being able to specify the folder/subfolder on a per-plugin basis (the path being absolute if it starts with a / and relative otherwise) in plugins.conf? That would allow the covers folder(s) to be a little tidier and allow you to have Game.nes and Game.gb with different covers.

Anyway I think that a flag is required, as some emu use roms folders inside rome folders. ;)
I could also add a folder for covers, so that, if specified, each plugin can have it own cover folders.

About the forwarder, 5.1.5, it is inside the full package and it is the right and latest one. I do not add to Google code because modmii check md5 and need a manual modification every time I modify it. I can ask to XFlak if we can change this...

^^ Ah ok no big deal on the WAD then just wanted to make sure it wasn't being hosted due to some bug or something. Besides since xFlak is on the "I'm Wii-tired" tip (retired Wii pun intended) he's more inclined towards not making any modifications to ModMii unless they're bug related. Although a request from the almighty stfour might go differently ;)

@Abz until fairly recently only about 50% of your rom paths were the same as mine, but I decided to completely compliment the rom paths you have in your masterpiece pack for ease of update purposes as well as to have a standardized setup amongst WiiFlow/PL users. Since recursive rom search is a configurable option I figure that the Fba_alpha folders will need the option set to 1, what else do you recommend?
 
@Abz, something I noticed, for the DOL files that are in a subfolder like the retroarch ones, my app just copied the DOL name with folder name, since that's how it was in the WiiFlow INI files ... yet the subfolder is separate on the DOL search path in plugins.conf. I was wondering if those plugins work fine for you as is or does the folder name need to be taken off of the DOL filename in the plugins.conf file?

If it does work as it, would it also work without the extra path in the DOL search path? It might be a little more efficient, simpler.

summmvm, MSX and Arcade mainly and for DOSBox depending on your setup, if you use My pack converted by sion you need to change Dosbox filetype to "conf" and in this case no need for recursive search. maybe I missed something I'll take a deeper look it's 6 am here :)

@Maxteral I'll test some retro roms too in 4.4.6

stfour only scummVM games are not showing since the ini is used as argument, where do we need to place that file?
 
Why not enable subfolder by default, I believe it will only be slow the first time then should run fast.

I noticed the slowdown is permanent with subfolder search when going to Emu mode. I believe because I don't use any cache files.
Also noticed that now I have 31 plugins displayed while 41 are active, the one missing is scummvm and the ones with # 31 and up
Any ideas about the scummvm argument?
 
Dosbox uses "|" in argument
-conf|{device}:/{path}/{name}
this is fooling PL since "|" is interpreted differently, hence the argument is not working

Edit: last bug is filtering issue when using subfolders
roms in subfolders are displayed first followed by the others

Done testing :)

Recommendations:
Increase plugin limit to 72
Add support for Dosbox argument with "|" and summvm argument "scummvm.ini"
Displayed roms should be filtered independent on subfolders
Adding list files per plugins might make loading superfast and hence enabling subfolder search won't affect speed
covers per plugin

eheheh... when I've added emulators I've no idea that we will have so much plugin. So there is no cache. It need to be added.

I will check what we can do with "|"
