To @Reecey and @CosmoCortney: I can try to help by testing you guy's codes from PAL to see if they work or need converting for US games. I have no experience finding codes, but can probably test the codes you find. :)
this would be very very nice :)

Now that I setup DNS and IP blocking, I can now play the games (Not online of course) that nag for update. I have the following games (US Version) that I can test you guy's codes on:

- NSMBU
- Zelda WWHD
- DKC Tropical Freeze
- MK8
- SSBU
- Hyrule Warriors
- Captain Toad
- SM3DW

You really need to know even what your doing with geckodnet fullstop, even with codes produced, trust me! :)

What do you mean? Are some codes perm even if game not saved?
No what I mean is you cant just say copy & paste the code in and it works you need to find the original code that changes the cheat code so say for example you wanted to change your lives to x100 from x10, then you need to run over the memory viewer find your value for the lives in the left box and then write your value cheat code in the right box and then click on Poke, I think something like that, its not an easy task anyway.

Edit:> Let me take Cosmos cheat for ZWW for example you have your value which is>Grass 2F448098 for example in the left box then in the right box you type your cheat code say> x1 Grass 106EE1E4 and then click on Poke.

Ok, with all you guys help I think we can figure this stuff out :)

Yeah that would be good! I think Cosmo maybe a bit more clued up on this gecko stuff than me, maybe he used it before on the original wii scene but he seems to know what he is doing, me I'm a tad newbish at the moment!.

Here is the first tutorial. Enable subtitles if a word is obscure due my accent..

Thanks Cosmo thats great work, really happy! :) Just saying I am watching your video now it really is so good!

Edit> I have watched it all, fantastic video and representation but it still is not that easy lets be honest!. I always thought you just used the Memory Viewer tab side of the geckodnet not the Search tab side to change items etc..?

This is gonna be so much easier than 3DS/DS/Wii...

I'll do some MK8 coin hacks, position modifier, timer modifier (perfect 00:00.000 timer), and more. I hope 5.4.0 is supported within a few months.

Thank you :)
For stuff like this i always use the search tab. The only Wii U cheats made with the mem viewer are the object swaps and unlockables for wind waker

Position modifier will be hard to find with such a big memory!
I have already failed once because sometimes you don't know if a float (like 3E90D16C) is actually a float or a pointer. If it's a pointer the game may freeze by changing it. Try not to poke any float-looking values that end with 0, 4, 8 or C

exec breakpoint at 0x0CF0909C, current stage is in r3.
No one but you seems to have working breakpoints though.
I would love some pointers on that, I made a nice exception handler for the codehandler, but got stuck in a few areas on breakpoints.

Do you think you could also do a race type modifier for Time Trials to allow 50/150/Mirror/200CC modes in Time Trials? They'd be really nice for getting a chance to try out the courses in 200CC without the annoyances of other NPCs. Then I can give it a try when 5.4.0 is supported.

I will try that.

@CosmoCourtney - Yeah, I know. I'll do 5 - 10 dumps just to be safe and narrow it down to a few addresses, then test from there.

Thank you very much! This tutorial is going to be very useful for me!

I think I am about to glitch my games! I like to glitch stuff :D

And if I could get some stack dump exeptions, that would be really fun :yay:
