The gnome terminal but i set the background color to black as opposed to the white in default settings.

Personal preference. That and it was an interesting task to see what it took to convert it into a workstation. By default everything is set towards giving priorities and resources towards servers/background tasks, and things you take for granted like the restart/shutdown/sleep options being on the Start Menu aren't there initially. Of course, I tweaked everything in a VM before moving to physical hardware; would've been silly to cage myself in something I had no way out of. Now it's basically Windows 10 minus the crap: no Cortana, no Windows Store, no Modern apps, and it still has DirectX 12, and runs everything I need (mind you it did take a lot of tweaking).

That is the exact description of Winddows 10 LTSB(without the tweaking)
