should i get cycloDS or m3 real?

could someone give me their opinion and why?

is a slot 2 add on really so great, is it worth the price?

also, I dont have WEP wireless i have WPA (which i like better) does the internet browser add on support WPA wireless (nintendo wifi doesnt) or do i have to be able to connect to nintendo wifi?

The DS itself cannot connect to any network with WPA security enabled. It's a limitation of the hardware itself. You'll need to reduce it to WEP encryption in order to connect with any DS program, official or homebrew.

A slot2 expansion pack such as the eWin 2in1 or EZ 3in1 lets you place GBA games stored on your slot1 cart, and also acts as memory which is required to run the Opera browser. The eWin is inexpensive ($12 - $15 shipped). The EZ 3in1 has a (sort of crappy) rumble feature built in.

Yeah, I really don't get why's M3 Real so looked down upon. It's cheaper than a CycloDS and it has a slot-2 along. Anyone wants to elaborate on why it loses to CycloDS besides its lack of support?

walkearth, yes you can. Patch the Opera browser for the M3 Perfect and launch it from your Acekard.

If you want features, go with the CycloDS Evolution. If you don't care about the extra features, either will work. Just check out the M3 forums here first to see if users are having problems with anything in particular.

Cyclo obliterates the M3 real in this. MUCH faster menu, better support (Not that I'm saying the M3 support is bad. I'm just saying the Cyclo's is slightly better), more features, and better build quality. The m3 real's loading time takes very long.

M3 real really doesn't get my recommendation.

did you want to get a whole new cart
or just a new R4
because R4s are slowing dying out
with all the newer and better carts
like the cyclo, acekard (rpg or 2), the edge, dstt is even better!
well what features do you want?
if you want one of the best, go for the cyclo, (or acekard rpg. its quite pricey though)
if you want a cyclo without features, the edge, or acekard 2 are both good
if you want a cheap and fast loading (but not so great on the GUI), then dstt

R4 Killer. Better everything or even much better. im thinking acecard 2 just for fun but what ever.

Dont care for features just want something that will play anything I can put on it with a cheat file I can edit and last more than a year. (or at least till next year when I buy a new one) My R4 is dying and it is driving me nuts.

You forgot SCDS1 SDHC. It has more features than the CycloDS, and the support is just as good. The build quality is pretty good, and etc.

All the Acekard products are nice ... you can do loads with the R.P.G. ... but as was said, if it's just games you want, do you need all the other features?

I'd say that for the top of the line, get the Cyclo or SCDS1. They're both super good carts, it's just that themes are easier to find for the Cyclo. Plus it just has a bigger name to it, don't know why; SCDS1 and Cyclo are practically neck and neck.
