Folder organisation for games
Thinking like a homebrew app (could be converted to NSP) that could sort the titles installed and launch them.

Would allow for much better sorting than recently used/updated, such as A-Z, release date, categories etc..

Streaming the Switch to PC (Wirelessly or Wired without capture card)

+1 I was looking into buying a capture card but I wonder if anyone is trying to work on this? I know 3ds had something that allowed it without using a capture card hopefully switch is able to do it as well.

Dont know If this is possible atm but i really would love to see a hombrew/implementation for other controllers like ps4 or xbox gamepads. It would be awesome to use them with my switch without the need of an external usb adapter (right now you need one Adapter for every gamepad :-()
This would be really great. I've got two PS3 controllers, a 360 controller, and a PS4 controller, all of which no longer get ANY USE since I only play my switch. I don't wanna spend money on darn USB adapters. Damn proprietary drivers!

Probably someone asked it already, but:
Is it possible to make homebrew that will freeze service responsible for detecting sd card until it's closed (from HOS, not RCM ofc)?

Gauging interest:
Anybody a Fan of Picross like games?
(For anybody not familiar what "Picross" is:

(Picture taken from Picross 2 for the Nintendo Switch)

Since a few of my friends (and me too) like Picross I developed a small application (in java) for us.
The features right now are...
- Playing picross ofc (I included a few example puzzles)
- A Editor to create own puzzles

..with the planned inclusion of a Level Sharing System. I am still not sure how to handle accounts / backend structure / the GDPR (DSGVO if you are from Germany)

But then I thought: Maybe there is interest for a Switch port? After all, the Picross games that are aviable on the switch have no Editor and ofc. no comunity build puzzles.
And I think this would be a good project to start Switch Development (its a very basic 2D "game" after all).

Oh and don't expect a release very soon. A high demand would motivate me, but tbh I have not even installed the Dev Evironement.
So right now this is just a "hey, that could be cool!" Idea.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Interest?

I had the idea to make a picross homebrew, with shared data, but never got the time to code anything.
as you already have a base (java), I'll share with you my idea : I wanted to make it compatible with API on that website : https://www.griddlers.net/

it has lot of daily new puzzles, picross, tricross/tridlers, etc.
if it gives you ideas I'm happy because I'll likely never do it myself. it'll stay an idea forever.

How about an app that you run from within the console that auto goes out and downloads the latest SXOS cheats and put them in the proper directories?

Is there any hb in development so I can use my Xbox1 or PS4 controller with out external hardware(USB adapters etc)?

Without drivers it's not possible and we are far away from installing any drivers to Horizon OS (and maybe we will never get there)

I know this is dumb, but maybe a way to use touch screen controls on a emulator? I know I’m in th minority, but I think it would be kinda cool to play nes/snes/whateveremuoator without lugging the joy cons around. I know this is a dumb idea but it has always been on my mind.

It’s been done on some HB so could be done, just how to implement it..

just an idea.... the switch scene is pretty dead on this forum... if the post rights wern't so strict here i think you would have more devs on here.
im on 2 other forums where a new user posted 1 app and now its had over 8000 downloads... your restricting to much with not enough mods/admins are replying to users

I've got to disagree. I feel it's pretty much alive. But we can't allow piracy material such as direct downloaders from torrents sites etc.
I personally feel I'm quite engaged with users, but that's just me. I can't talk for the others.
