Northern Ireland, like many other colonial projects, was created along religious/ethnic lines to pit the population against itself and hold onto power on the island of Ireland. (After the Irish war of Independence, which immediately led to civil war)

It was created out of thin air and purposely had borders drawn to include a majority planter/Scottish population and as much Irish soil as possible. (Make note it doesn't include all of Ulster - because if it did the Irish would have had a majority)

It was then run as an apartheid state for 70+ years until the IRA's program of bombing (including killing the Queen's cousin - the last viceroy of India - and nearly killing Thatcher) convinced the UK to create shared government in Stormont.

It continues to exist as a broken state with unionists and republicans refusing to take their seats over this or that issue for years on end.

From an economic, historical, and social justice perspective it makes most sense for the UK to relinquish its illegal occupation of Irish soil.

So yes.
