Not necessarily. If you get upset or nervous in court, you can get a guilty plea. Because you're guilty doesn't mean you go to prison. If the case was minor then you might get a few months probation or follow a set of rules. Or, if you're not fit to stand trial, then you go to a mental institution to get evaluated.
