Hacking Possible to play backups without a USB jailbreak device?

Well my copy of Uncharted 2 doesnt work any more, for unknown reasons. Other games play fine, but Uncharted freezes at loading screen. I paid full price for this game at release, and refuse to buy another, so I want to mod my PS3 to play backups. Do you still need to buy a special USB dongle to play backups, or can you do it with a flashdrive now?

I don't care if it gets banned from PSN, I never use it for online. I only buy exclusive single-player games on PS3 and everything else on 360.

If your on 3.56 then your out of luck for now. Only 3.55 firmware and lower is hackable.

Yeah, I upgraded to 3.56 in an attempt to get Uncharted 2 to work.. damnit.

Sorry, but you're pretty much screwed till someone discovers a way to run CFW on 3.56.
