what are the benefits of downgrading emunand??

In my case I was thinking about using a donor O3DS system on an exploitable firmware to facilitate a system transfer from my personal O3DS on 9.4 SysNAND to my N3DS on 9.4 EmuNAND.

If downgrading emunand is possible without losing installed games/data, I would upgrade my 3ds to 9.9, set up enumand on the donor system, transfer from mine to the donor, downgrade the donor system's emunand to 9.4, then use the fw spoofer to allow a transfer from the O3DS on 9.4 emu to my N3DS on 9.4 emu.
