Is it still possible to convert a .sav file to work with cia title without a GW cartridge, i refer to the part of the guide on this site that says to "mount the game" in the rom selector, obviously without the cart you cannot do this

I am using rxTools emunand and have savedatafiler and the .sav on the root of the card

    Thanks in advance

Do you have a retail version of the game?

    I don't think so...
sdf and those save manager use on 9.3+ export the data from dynamic ram I think.
.sav is an encrypted data storage. (I assume the gw .sav is cipher text)

On your sd card root, then use sdf to inject it in your cia.

Loaded CTR SaveDataFiler and moved accross to SD Card

Selected the file and clicked import but got the following error...

    result
    Level : -7
    Summary : 4
    Module : 17
    Desc : 141

So either my friend did the save conversion wrongly, or some other problem

Does anybody here have a NSMB2 EUR version of the game and a GW who would be prepared to convert my .sav file please ?

I do, but I'm not at home now.
I assume it's made with a .3ds ROM (so no private header) which means that the sav should work with any headerless (eur) rom.
I could help you when I get back home later.

Just a quick thank you to @The Real Jdbye

His save conversion worked flawlessly and holding R + A at the same time made all the difference

He is a credit to this site, big thanks !!
